Hey David!

Hoy utilizo esta imagen de archivo para explicar el concepto de organización que reina en mi existencia. Desde un punto de vista todo parece meticulosamente ordenado pero todos sabemos que al mínimo movimiento o desde otra posición todo puede ser un caos y una acumulación de elementos amontonados.

Estos días los estoy utilizando para organizar muchos aspectos de mi vida inmediata: Padrón, clarificar mi proyecto de investigación, ver coches e informarme de los los tramites correspondientes, enmarcar todo lo enmarcable, colgar parte de lo enmarcado, movilizar y almacenar el resto, montar exposiciones y si queda algún tiempo comenzar con mi web personal www.pablotalamanca.es. Lo cierto es que todo esto de “organizar” esta me causando un gran desorden existencial…

…así que la conclusión es que necesito volver a tener una rutina, y ya organizaré otro día.

Today I use this archive image to explain you the organization concept that rule my existance. From a point of view everything looks carefuly set but we all know that if the minimum movement happen or if you watch it from another position everything can be a chaos and a acumulation of piled elements.

I am using these days to organice many aspects of my inmediate life: Household, clarify my investigation project, look for cars and seek for information of the bureocracy around it,frame everything frameble, hang some of the framed, mobilize an guard the rest, set exhibitions and if thre is some spare time beging with my personal website www.pablotalamanca.es. The truth is that all about “orgnize” is causing me a big existencial mess…

…and the conclusion is that I need a new routine, and I could organize another day.

Mañana debo recoger de enmarcar la foto que presentaré a la exposición de las jornadas “Bailar las Sombras”, hoy he encontrado una foto del modelo que aparece en ella, me parecía muy oportuno postearla en un alarde de metarepresentación. Gracias a Marcel Vos y a la modelo anónima que es protagonista de esa serie. Espero veros a todos allí a partir del 15 de diciembre en la facultad de Bellas Artes de Madrid.

Tomorrow I have to take from framing the picture that I will show in the exhibition of the “Bailar las Sombras” days, today I met a picture where the model of this piece appear, I think it was a good oportunity to show it in a meta-representation example. Thanks to Marcel Vos and the anonimous female model that appear in most of the series. I hope to see al of you there from the 15th of december in the Fine Arts school in Madrid.

Debo de dar mi más sincera enhorabuena a un nuevo anillador titulado. Iñigo Lucero ya está preparado para hacer todos los piercings que sea necesario cuando la ocasión lo requiera…

Los días previos a las exposiciones siempre traen consigo mucho trabajo, esta última no ha sido diferente y me ha hecho recordar el momento en el que comencé con el proyecto allá por el 2006 en Enschede, con mi Lubitel 166B, mis carretes de Agfa Optima 100 de 120, las continuas visitas a los bosques cercanos y como se iba gestando todo en el laboratorio de color entre mis manos con el magnifico Kodak Endura Supra. En el caso de “Buscando un Bosque” fue una experiencia muy íntima y positiva que produjo esta serie de 8 fotografías en una edición de 3 copias, más una prueba de artista de cada una. Arriba os dejo la primera vez que las pude ver juntas en mi querido taller holandes.

Ahora, después de dos años me voy a atrever a mostrarlas en un entorno que considero el más adecuado, cerca de la Naturaleza (con mayúsculas y en un estado puro), rodeado los recuerdos que han conformado mi imaginario personal sobre esta temática. Parece que es difícil buscar de donde pudo partir y todavía queda lejos el final de su viaje, pero creo que por ahora va a estar donde debe estar.

The days before the exhibitions are always very busy, this last was not different and it reminds me the moment of the beginning there in the 2006 in Enschede, with my Lubitel 166B, my 120 Agfa Optima 100 film, the several visits to the surrounding forests and how everything was born in the colour lab with the superb Kodak Endura Supra between my hands. In the “Finding a Forest” case it was a very intimate and positive experience that produced this 8 photograph series in a 3 copies edition, plus one artist proof of each. Up there I left you the first time I saw i all together in my beloved Dutch workshop.

Now, after 2 years I get the bravery to show them in a background that I think that fits perfectly, near the Nature (with a capital N and in a pure state), surrounded by the memories that made my personal images about this theme. It looks difficult to search were does it comes from and far from the end of its travel, but I believe that it will be where it must be.

Estos últimos días he enmarcado más que enlos últimos dos años, ha sido una experiencia muy extraña el elegir por fin un nuevo hogar digno para la serie “Buscando un Bosque” o para algunas fotografías que ocupan un lugar muy especial en mi archivo reciente. Al parecer gracias a la Exposición colectiva del MACI 08 en el Espacio Cultural Mira (Pozuelo de Alarcón)‏ del próximo febrero podremos ver la fotografía de la cabaña con sus 7 compañeras y en las jornadas de Arte y Danza “Bailar las Sombras” que se celebrarán del 15-19 de diciembre podreis ver una pieza clásica inedita en blanco y negro, baritado y proveniente de mi amado formato Polaroid 55 que tampoco os defraudará , os invito a participar y os dejo en este link el programa en PDF.

No me olvido de mencionar el pequeño adelanto de todo esto que mostraré en el Café Cienfuegos a partir del sabado que viene, quien quiera pasarse por allí (Cuesta de los Castaños S/N, Piedralaves, Ávila a tan solo 100 km. de Madrid y seguro que de otros lugares más interesantes) estará invitado a mojitos gratuitos preparados expresamente por el artista para rememorar tiempos pasados, animaos, es puente.

This last days I framed more than in the last two years, it was a very weird exerience to search for a brand new home for the “Finding a Forest” series and to some other selected pictres of my recent personal archive. It looks that thanks to the MACI 08 collective exhibition in the Mira Cultural Space (Pozuelo de Alarcón) of the next Febreruary you would see the upper photograph with their 7 partners and in the Art and Dance days called “Bailar las Sombras” that will be celebrated from 15th to 19th of December you could see another clasical piece in black and white, fiber based paper and coming form my beloved 55 Polaroid film you will not regret, I invite you and left you a link with the complete bases in PDF.

I have to mention also the little advance that I will show in the Café Cienfuegos from the next Saturday, who joins it will receive free mojitos prepared by the own artist to remind past times, do it, here is holiday!

Ayer tuvo lugar Revisión Ingráfica un encuentro entre galeristas, artistas, comisarios, críticos y teóricos internacionales con artistas noveles, yo era uno de los 19 seleccionados y pude mostrar mis últimos trabajos a varios especialistas, algunos estudiantes de la facultad de Cuenca y a personas interesadas que allí se encontraban.

Creo que fue una oportunidad inmejorable de oir de primera mano ciertas críticas y consejos sobre nuestra obra, su modo de exhibición y a su vez una buena plataforma de poner en contacto dos mundos que cohabitan pero que no suelen encontrarse en un ambiente tan amigable y personalizado. Los quince minutos de los que disfrutamos con cada uno de los visionadores hacían posible un diálogo muy sintético en el que prevalecía, al menos en mi caso, la disertación conceptual y la explicación evolutiva de nuestros diversos proyectos.

Desde aquí quiero hacer llegar mis agradecimientos a toda la organización, a los visionadores que nos regalaron una valiosa porción de su tiempo, a toda la ciudad de Cuenca y a mis compañeros por hacer de este encuentro una jornada tan agradable. Un éxito en todos los sentidos y un ejemplo de actividad que deberían promover los distintos festivales que se celebran en nuestro país.

Yesterday it was Ingráfica Review that brings together gallerists, artists, curators, critics and international theoreticians and young artists, I was one of the 19 selected artists and I showed my last works to some spcialists, some Cuenca University students and people who were interested around there.

I think that it was an outstanding oportunity to hear directly some critics and advices about our pieces, the way that they had to be shown and also a good platform of bringing together two worlds that live in the same planet but never meet in such a friendly and comfortable background. The fifteen minutes that we had with the reviewers made possible a synthetic dialogue mostly, in my case, around the conceptual field and the evolution of our projects.

I want to thank all the organization, the reviewers that gave us a portion of their valuable time, to all the city of Cuenca and my partners that made this encounter a very enjoyable day. A great success in all the ways and a positive example of activity that had to be promoted by all the festivals that are celebrated in our country.

Pues lo dicho, a la segunda y con todos los honores hoy me ha sido otorgada la L que me reconoce como un nuevo peligro legal al volante. No temais que todavía no me he hecho con una máquina de destrucción y para los más asustadizos desvelaros que Tamara Falcó solo se sacó el teórico en mi autoescuela…
